76e911d2cc Drop ImageCursorSource
The ImageCursorSource used to be primarily a porting aid. That is, if we
couldn't port some code to SurfaceCursorSource or ShapeCursorSource, the
ImageCursorSource was used in interim. Now, all parts of kwin have been
ported to ShapeCursorSource and SurfaceCursorSource, so the image cursor
source can be dropped.

8f928e6ac9 wayland: Port tablet cursor to {Shape,Surface}CursorSource
Currently the tablet cursor doesn't use SurfaceCursorSource because it
doesn't handle changing the surface size after the set_cursor request.

This change adds missing surface commit handling in the
SurfaceCursorSource so the tablet cursor can use it. As a side effect,
the pointer interface doesn't need to track surface commits anymore.

e6b5cf283e core: Batch pointer input device events
This change introduces InputDevice::pointerFrame(). The main motivation
behind it is to allow batching multiple pointer events within a single
event frame.

e0c66d42cb Match pointer/keyboard/touch lifespan to Seat lifespan
PointerInterface is a "Server-managed multicasting resource". As in we
have one QObject, managed by the server, but internally it represents
multiple resources from various clients.

We cannot control the lifespan of those resources, they may persist long
after we stop having these capabilities on the seat.

If we delete our pointer object when we stop advertising a pointer
capability we have race conditions with clients calling release, or
potentially even having a seat_get_pointer in flight.

It's easier and safer just to have PointerInterface last as long as the
Seat. If we don't have a mouse no-one should try to bind, and even if
they did or remained bound long after we stop having a mouse it won't do
any harm as there are no mouse events to broadcast.

5553d0e0f4 Introduce SurfaceCursorSource
The contents of the cursor can be either a normal image or a wl_surface.
At the moment, we get an image from the wl_surface. But it's going to be
changed so we use SurfaceItem to render wl_surface cursors.

SurfaceCursorSource provides the way to get the wl_surface handle from
the cursor. In order to provide backwards compatibility, it also provides
a QImage.

bf48c3b80d scene: Remove dnd icon hack
Currently, kwin blits the dnd icon onto the cursor image. This doesn't
work on mobile because the cursor is usually hidden there.

As a short term solution, put the dnd icon in the Scene. In the future,
it needs to be put in its own render layer.

b4569f5985 Add ShapeCursorSource
ShapeCursorSource provides the contents of the given cursor shape in the
Xcursor theme.

If the given cursor shape is animated, ShapeCursorSource will keep
updating its content based on the value of current sprite's delay value.

a1191bea18 wayland: Fix missing relative motion events
Use isNull on QSizeF to check for a zero delta instead of comparing it
with a default-constructed QSizeF, which in practice initializes to
(-1.0,-1.0). This caused relative motion events to be omitted if the
delta happened to be equal to (-1.0,-1.0), causing mouse jumping in some
applications.

c147340878 wayland: Add support for high resolution scrolling
In libinput 1.19, three new pointer axis events were added in order to
provide support for high-resolution scrolling.

LIBINPUT_EVENT_POINTER_AXIS is de-facto deprecated and new users of
libinput should use instead SCROLL_WHEEL, SCROLL_FINGER, and
SCROLL_CONTINUOUS.

Discrete deltas were replaced with v120 delta values. 120 corresponds to
a single discrete delta. Smaller values correspond to "partial" wheel
ticks.

f027b979bc Mark cursor as rendered after finishing compositing cycle
Otherwise animated cursors won't work. Hopefully, this will fix pointer

It would be great to refactor cursor handling so it's simpler, it can be

88d423ddcf Unify focus abstractions for internal and wayland windows
This simplifies focus related logic a bit. Instead of differentiating
between wayland and internal window focus, simply maintain window focus
that works both with regular wayland windows as well as the ones created
by kwin.

ef72bae42f Introduce base InputDevice class
The main motivation behind this change is to prepare input abstractions
for virtual input devices so the wl_seat can properly advertise caps or
the cursor getting properly mapped/unmapped when a fake pointer is
added/removed on a system without a hardware mouse connected.

With this, there are three abstractions - InputDevice, InputBackend, and
InputRedirection.

An InputDevice represents an input device such as a mouse, a keyboard, a
tablet, etc. The InputBackend class notifies the InputRedirection about
(dis-)connected devices. The InputRedirection manages the input devices.

Such design allows to unify the event flow for real and virtual input
devices.

There can be several input backends active. For example, the libinput
backend and an input backend that provides virtual input devices, e.g.
libeis or org_kde_kwin_fake_input.

566bfbff5b Fix focus loss on decoration destruction
InputDeviceHandler keeps track of which client has focus, and whether
the decoration or main window has focus.

Should the decoration get destroyed whilst the decoration has focus we
don't update correctly. This can happen when
"BorderlessMaximizedWindows" is set, or if you use key presses whilst
above the decoration.

cleanupDecoration (which is an odd name) is called whenever a decoration
gains or loses focus. Here we can connect for the decoration destruction
and force a focus change.

dda0c24187 wayland: Remove absolute position from processMotion() that handles relative moves
API-wise it's odd to require absolute position with relative pointer
moves.

This cleans up some of InputRedirection code by making it simply forward
pointer input events from input devices to the pointer input device
handler, which knows better what to do with the delta value.

The pointer input device handler will compute the absolute position based
on the specified delta value, but it could also do something else, e.g.
not move the pointer at all if it's locked, etc.

93e0265e4e Move source code to src/ directory
Once in a while, we receive complaints from other fellow KDE developers
about the file organization of kwin. This change addresses some of those
complaints by moving all of source code in a separate directory, src/,
thus making the project structure more traditional. Things such as tests
are kept in their own toplevel directories.

This change may wreak havoc on merge requests that add new files to kwin,
but if a patch modifies an already existing file, git should be smart
enough to figure out that the file has been relocated.

We may potentially split the src/ directory further to make navigating
the source code easier, but hopefully this is good enough already.
