2a0d5f5e1d Drop compositing suspension dbus api
The main motivation behind this change is to encapsulate X11 compositor
implementation to the point that it can be moved from libkwin to
kwin_x11.

There are two options: either get rid of suspend and resume requests, or
add suspend and resume virtual functions in the Compositor. The apps
must definitely not rely on the dbus api, they must use the X11 api.
Compositing suspension api works only on X11 and it's quite obscure,
it's not used by any other KDE component.

So this patch goes for the most simplest option: dropping the requests.

b823747c3b Add explicit moc includes to sources for moc-covered headers
* speeds up incremental builds as changes to a header will not always
need the full mocs_compilation.cpp for all the target's headers rebuild,
while having a moc file sourced into a source file only adds minor
extra costs, due to small own code and the used headers usually
already covered by the source file, being for the same class/struct
* seems to not slow down clean builds, due to empty mocs_compilation.cpp
resulting in those quickly processed, while the minor extra cost of the
sourced moc files does not outweigh that in summary.
Measured times actually improved by some percent points.
(ideally CMake would just skip empty mocs_compilation.cpp & its object
  file one day)
* enables compiler to see all methods of a class in same compilation unit
  to do some sanity checks
* potentially more inlining in general, due to more in the compilation unit
* allows to keep using more forward declarations in the header, as with the
moc code being sourced into the cpp file there definitions can be ensured
and often are already for the needs of the normal class methods

dbbcf31d0d x11: Merge Unmanaged into X11Window
Currently, managed and override-redirect windows are split in two types:
X11Window and Unmanaged. While looking at it strictly from type
perspective, this is great. But it creates other problems, e.g. we need
to put shared X11-specific code in the base Window class or mess with
"base" classes.

As an alternative solution, this change merges the Unmanaged class into
the X11Window class and disables some functionality based on the value
of isUnmanaged().

X11Window::manage() is used to create a managed Window. X11Window::track()
is used to create an unmanaged Window.

7fffe99328 build: Add -Wno-unused-parameter compiler option
Due to being a compositor, kwin has to conform to some certain
interfaces. It means a lot of virtual functions and function tables to
integrate with C APIs. Naturally, we not always want to use every
argument in such functions.

Since we get -Wunused-parameter from -Wall, we have to plumb those
unused arguments in order to suppress compiler warnings at the moment.

However, I don't think that extra work is worth it. We cannot change or
alter prototypes in any way to fix the warning the desired way. Q_UNUSED
and similar macros are not good indicators of whether an argument is
used too, we tend to overlook putting or removing those macros. I've
also noticed that Q_UNUSED are not used to guide us with the removal no
longer needed parameters.

Therefore, I think it's worth adding -Wno-unused-parameter compiler
option to stop the compiler producing warnings about unused parameters.
It changes nothing except that we don't need to put Q_UNUSED anymore,
which can be really cumbersome sometimes. Note that it doesn't affect
unused variables, you'll still get a -Wunused-variable compiler warning
if a variable is unused.

d2fb4147fc Move multi-purpose code in its own directory
Things such as Output, InputDevice and so on are made to be
multi-purpose. In order to make this separation more clear, this change
moves that code in the core directory. Some things still link to the
abstraction level above (kwin), they can be tackled in future refactors.
Ideally code in core/ should depend either on other code in core/ or
system libs.

4dd9b0f15b x11: Drop support for multi-head
The main reason to drop multi-head support is that it has been simply
unmaintained for many many years. When implementing a feature, we don't
even bother checking if multi-head is broken, KCMs don't handle
multihead, window management features are written for Xinerama. KWin
is optimized for Xinerama-like operation mode in general, which is
provided out of the box.

If you use multihead for esoteric gpu stuff, consider using kwin_wayland!

d789ecc6d1 Use #cmakedefine01 for all KWIN_BUILD_* macros
This ensures that we get a warning if the config header is not included
instead of compiling the code as if it was disabled. Interestingly, some
checks already used #if KWIN_BUILD_*, so those were generating -Wundef
warnings when the feature is disabled. Commit 886173cab assumed that all
those features were already 01, so this unbreaks the build if any of the
features is disabled.

48f943bd75 Introduce explicit base render backend type
The main idea behind the render backend is to decouple low level bits
from scenes. The end goal is to make the render backend provide render
targets where the scene can render.

Design-wise, such a split is more flexible than the current state, for
example we could start experimenting with using qtquick (assuming that
the legacy scene is properly encapsulated) or creating multiple scenes,
for example for each output layer, etc.

So far, the RenderBackend class only contains one getter, more stuff will
be moved from the Scene as it makes sense.

66badd905b kcmkwin/rules: Fix suggested values for virtual desktops rule
If the virtual desktops rule is created, only the last virtual desktop
the window is on is going to be checked.

With this, all virtual desktops that the window is currently on will be

Technically, it's an api breaking change, but the window rules kcm is
the primary user of queryWindowInfo() so I don't think it's a big deal.

811beb94e0 Remove Xrender backend
The Xrender backend was added at the time when OpenGL drivers were not
particularly stable. Nowadays though, it's a totally different situation.

The OpenGL render backend has been the default one for many years. It's
quite stable, and it allows implementing many advanced features that
other render backends don't.

Many features are not tested with it during the development cycle; the
only time when it is noticed is when changes in other parts of kwin break
the build in the xrender backend. Effectively, the xrender backend is
unmaintained nowadays.

Given that the xrender backend is effectively unmaintained and our focus
being shifted towards wayland, this change drops the xrender backend in
favor of the opengl backend.

Besides being de-facto unmaintained, another issue is that QtQuick does
not support and most likely will never support the Xrender API. This
poses a problem as we want thumbnail items to be natively integrated in
the qtquick scene graph.

93e0265e4e Move source code to src/ directory
Once in a while, we receive complaints from other fellow KDE developers
about the file organization of kwin. This change addresses some of those
complaints by moving all of source code in a separate directory, src/,
thus making the project structure more traditional. Things such as tests
are kept in their own toplevel directories.

This change may wreak havoc on merge requests that add new files to kwin,
but if a patch modifies an already existing file, git should be smart
enough to figure out that the file has been relocated.

We may potentially split the src/ directory further to make navigating
the source code easier, but hopefully this is good enough already.
