This method replaces the X-KDE-ORDERING property in the Effect's desktop
files. This change is a preparation step for integrating the new Effect
Loader which doesn't read the ordering information. Thus it needs to be
provided by the Effect itself so that the EffectsHandler can properly
insert it into the chain.
Also for the built-in Effects on the long run it doesn't make much sense
to install the desktop files. And binary plugin effects will migrate to
json metadata which also doesn't have the KService::Ptr. Thus overall it
simplifies to read this information directly from the Effect.
XRenderUtils are split out of kwineffects and are an own library just
like kwinglutils is an own library.
The library gets always build and is linked in KWin core unconditionally
(as it's used in outline) and conditionally in kwineffects (PaintClipper)
and the built in effects depending on XRender build option.
Instead of using EffectsHandler::sendReloadMessage we generate the dbus
interface in each plugin and call the reconfigure slot directly. That way
it's more type safe and we don't need to link kwineffects from the
configs.

Rational behind this change is that displayWidth and displayHeight are
X specific API calls in kwinglobals. For the future it's easier to only
rely on functionality which goes through the EffectsHandler API which
allows easier adjustments in KWin core.
displayWidth() and displayHeight() are only used to get the size or the
complete rect of all screens. This is also provided by:
effects->virtualScreenGeometry() or
effects->virtualScreenSize()

By setting the X property _KDE_NET_WM_SKIP_CLOSE_ANIMATION to 1 a window
can request to be excluded from any close animation. This property is
read in Toplevel, so that it is available to both Client and Unmanaged.
If the window has this property set the Scene suppresses the paintWindow
loop of the Deleted. Thus no effect needs to be adjusted. But an effect
using drawWindow directly would still be able to render the Deleted as
there is no suppression.
Furthermore the property is passed to the EffectWindow so that an
Effect can make use of this functionality and not start the animation
in the first place.

Client used to have dedicated methods for different icon sizes instead
of combining all pixmaps into one QIcon. This resulted in various parts
of KWin having different access to the icons:
* effects only got one pixmap of size 32x32
* decorations only got the 16x16 and 32x32 pixmaps combined into a QIcon
* tabbox could request all icon sizes, but only as pixmap
Now all sizes are available in one QIcon allowing to easily access the
best fitting icon in a given UI.
Instead of looping over every quad for every grid cell and checking
for possible intersections, loop over the quads once and compute
the top left corner of the first intersecting grid cell. Then loop over
all the intersecting cells from that point and create the sub quads.
This new algorithm also preserves the order of the quads in the
original list.
Port from kFatal to qFatal - kFatal is still in kde4support,
but lacking debug area support arguably isn't that big a
deal since fatals can't be turned off anyway.

Cross fading with previous pixmap is achieved by referencing the old
window pixmap. WindowPaintData has a cross-fade-factor which interpolates
between 0.0 (completely old pixmap) to 1.0 (completely new pixmap).
If a cross fading factor is set and a previous pixmap is valid this one
is rendered on top of the current pixmap with opacity adjusted. This
results in a smoother fading.
To simplify the setup the AnimationEffect is extended and also takes care
about correctly (un)referencing the previous window pixmap. The maximize
effect is adjusted to make use of this new capabilities.
Unfortunately this setup has a huge problem with the case that the window
decoration gets smaller (e.g. from normal to maximized state). In this
situation it can happen that the old window is rendered with parts outside
the content resulting in video garbage being shown. To prevent this a set
of new WindowQuads is generated with normalized texture coordinates in
the safe area which contains real content.
For OpenGL2Window a PreviousContentLeaf is added which is only set up in
case the crass fading factor is set.

Unlike makeArrays() this function writes into a pre-allocated array,
and takes a matrix that's used to transform the texture coordinates.
This allows this function to handle coordinates for rectangular
textures correctly.
Note that unlike the previous commit, this doesn't fix texture coordinates
for rectangular textures. That case cannot be handled correctly without
knowing the dimensions of the texture.
With the removal of BoxSwitch all effects which want mouse events use the
fullscreen input window. The available functionality is too complex both
in EffectsHandler and in the Effects.
With this change only fullscreen input windows are supported and all
effects share the input window. This means there is at maximum one input
window. This simplifies the code in the Effects as they don't have to
keep track of the window they created any more. In EffectsHandler it
means that only one window needs to be created, destroyed and raised.
Also it means that we can properly react on screen size changes which had
been ignored in the past. Also quite some roundtrips to X are no longer
needed as we do not need to query the window geometry when creating the
input window.

Add an option to kcmcompositing in the 'Advanced' tab, to enable or
disable color correction. It is specified that it's experimental and it
needs Kolor Manager.
Before painting for a particular screen, ColorCorrection::setupForOutput
should be called.
A screen property is added for WindowPaintData.
In kwinglutils, The fragment shaders are intercepted before being
compiled and they get a couple of lines of code inserted in order to do
the color correction. This happens only when color correction is enabled, of
course.
For D-Bus communication with KolorServer, everything is async.
The implementation basically manages a set of color lookup tables for
different outputs and for different window regions. These are taken via
D-Bus. Each lookup table has around 700 KB.
This commit reintroduces the changes from the former merge with the
"color2" branch. In this form, it can be easily reverted.

A decoration can provide the AbilityAnnounceAlphaChannel in addition to
AbilityUsesAlphaChannel. If this ability is provided the decoration can
enable/disable the use of the alpha channel through setAlphaEnabled().
The base idea behind this mechanism is to be able to tell the compositor
that currently alpha is not needed. An example is the maximized state in
which the decoration is fully opaque so that there is no need to use the
translucency code path which would render all windows behind the deco.
In addition also the blur effect honors this setting so that behind a
known opaque decoration no blurring is performed.
Oxygen is adjusted to disable translucency in maximized state and Aurorae
is adjusted to allow themes to enable/disable translucency. For Plastik
translucency and with that also blurring is disabled.

The CompositingType enum turns into flags and two new values are
introduced: OpenGL1Compositing and OpenGL2Compositing.
Those new values are or-ed to OpenGLCompositing so that a simple check
for the flag OpenGLCompositing works in case of one of those two new
values. To make the generic check for OpenGL compositing easier a method
in EffectsHandler is introduced to just check for this.
The scenes now return either OpenGL1Compositing or OpenGL2Compositing
depending on which Scene implementation. None returns OpenGLCompositing.
The implementation consists of a class in libkwineffects.
There are some slight modifications in the compositor. Regions for
different outputs are drawn at different times.
Currently only per output color correction is implemented. However, the
grounds are prepared for implementing per window color correction
easily.
The ColorCorrection class needs to communicate via D-Bus with a KDED
module, KolorServer, which is a part of KolorManager.
The only visible part for the user consists of a check box in the
advanced tab for the compositing KCM.
The actual correction is done by injecting a piece of code in the
fragment shader, code that does a 3D lookup into a special color lookup
texture. The data for these textures is obtained from KolorServer. All
D-Bus calls are async.
The public member variables for opacity, saturation and brightness
are removed in favor for getter and setters. The variables are
moved into a private class. Those are now qreal instead of double.
To make usage inside the effects easier a multiply method is added
which multiplies the current value with passed in factor and returns
the new value in a functional programming style.
This commit is the top-most of a patch series to refactor
ScreenPaintData and WindowPaintData. Other related commits are:

No effect has ever made use of contents opacity. Which means it
is not needed. Removing means faster effects as we used to
multiply the value (always 1.0) with the opacity in each frame
for each window.
A CMake variable is used to specify the name of the binary.
By default this is "kwin" but building for PA changes the
name to "kwinactive". The variable adjusts all names, e.g.
kwinnvidiahack becomes kwinactivenvidiahack.
The remaining usage of kwinrc in core and libs is replaced
by a cmakedefine for the configuration name and all data
installations are moved to the defined name. Dynamic loading
for scripts & co is adjusted for loading based on defined name.
This change allows the side-by-side installation of both kwin
for desktop and kwin for Plasma Desktop without the known
issues like conflicts in config files or missing build options
if kwin desktop is used for Plasma Active.
Likewise the KCMs are not adjusted as they are not intended to
be used for kwinactive.

This patch adds a new function Toplevel::addLayerRepaint, that in contrast
to addWorkspaceRepaint does not invalidate every blur texture cache that
overlaps with that region. As the name suggests it rather invalidates the
to the window associated layer at that position. This is especially useful
in the case of move/resize events in combination with oxygen-transparent,
where the altered window is almost always the topmost window and the blur
texture cache of the windows underneath are unchanged.
For the case of fully opaque windows the behaviour of addLayerRepaint
and addWorkspaceRepaint should be same.

Property invokes virtual methods returning false by default. Deleted
reimplements the isDeleted and returns true. Client returns true for
isClient. Method is not called isManaged as this is already used
inside Client.
If possible use the property to Toplevel or Client instead of the
pure virtual methods. This makes it easier to get a stable ABI.
Adding new methods to the class no longer requires to add a pure
virtual method.
From a performance point of view this change should not matter.
Most EffectWindow methods are not invoked during the repaint chain.
But only in response to an event like a window got added. There the
overhead does not really matter as well the previous implementation
made strong use of dynamic casts which are also not knwon for being
very fast.
Each effect is able to declare itself as currently being active,
that is transforming windows or painting or screen or doing anything
during the current rendered frame.
This change eliminates the hottest path inside KWin identified by
callgrind.

Due to changes in build system we have always either OpenGL or OpenGL ES.
This allows to remove the KWIN_HAVE_OPENGL_COMPOSITING define. In the
effects the define is kept as KWIN_HAVE_OPENGL which can be used in
future to build also an XRender only effect system.
The uniforms textureWidth and textureHeight were only needed for
normal windows. For everything else it was just 1.0/1.0, that is
normalized.
The makeArrays method is changed to produce normalized texcoords
obsoleting the need for these uniforms. So two uniforms less, one
calculation in vertex shaders less and many many lines of code
removed.
At the same time makeArrays is also adjusted to take care of
yInverted of the texture, which is needed as we no longer can use
the enableUnnormalizedTexCoords which did the yInverted transformation.

It is not used by any effect, so we save one complete go through
all effects pass on each window damage.
The functionality which could be provided by this hook can also be
implemented using the window damaged signal.
The KWin::TimeLine class was only a small wrapper around QTimeLine
without adding anything to QTimeLine what is not present in QTimeLine.
The initial idea was to make it possible to provide more curve shapes.
This is now obsoleted by Qt shipping more useful curves with QTimeLine.
So let's clean up a little bit and use QTimeLine directly instead of
the small wrapper.
All effects are adjusted to use QTimeLine directly.
First a signal is emitted when the user starts a move/resize operation.
During the move/resize operation each geometry change emits an update signal.
Last but not least a finish signal is emitted.
This eliminates the specific method for geometry updates in drawbound resize
mode.
This needs to be improved in core. Currently ClientGroup does not yet
emit signals, as it would be difficult to connect them. Nevertheless
the effects dependency should be removed.
EffectsHandlerImpl just forwards the signals from TabBox. In order
to have a valid pointer to the TabBox, the TabBox is now initialized
before compositing in Workspace.
EffectsHandlerImpl connects to the Workspace signal clientActivated.
The emitting of the signal is slightly moved from before the activation logic
to after the activation logic. This might change behavior in the scripting
component, but the previous code looked wrong.
Client and Unmanaged use a signal to notify that they are about to be closed.
The EffectsHandlerImpl is connected to those signals and emits the appropriate
windowClosed signal to which the effects are connected.
All previously existing windowAdded methods are renamed to slotWindowAdded.
EffectsHandlerImpl is connected to Workspace's clientAdded signal, which is
emitted a little bit earlier than the previous direct method call. This might
change behavior.
Another signal is added to Workspace to signal that an unmanaged is added.
The first signal used between EffectsHandler and Effects.
The signal is actually emitted by the EffectsHandlerImpl and only
the interested effects connect to this signal.
EffectsHandlerImpl itself is also notified by a signal from Workspace,
allowing to remove one of the many if (effects) checks.
Second part of cleaning up the lib directory: the effects library
now lives in libkwineffects/ directory.
For existing effects nothing changes as the install path is unchanged.
The change obsoletes the lib/ directory.
As glplatform.h has not yet been exported I dared to export it and
adjust the places where it is used.
